LAMBI – SAND AND SHINGLE – SHALLOW WATER -
Lambi beach stretches 1km out from Kos Town harbour. Is a very well organised with sun beds, brollies, a vast array of water sports are available swimming, snorkelling, diving (there’s a dive school just outside town), pedalos, jet skiing, banana rides, extreme rings, water skiing and parascending. The water is very shallow so ideal for young children, however due to the deep trench off shore large boats passing can create quite large waves so do watch them carefully. Being basically the overflow beach for Kos Town means a limitless variety of accommodation is available, many cheap package deals to be had. There are also a good number of snack bars, and tavernas for you to refresh yourself in the heat of the sun at the beach. Places to visit – Asklepion, the Knights Castle, etc. Transport - Access to Lambi beach is very easy by all means of transportation buses, taxis, private and rented cars and motorbikes, but also by bicycle and on foot.
