Psilos Gremos BeachOther Beaches situated opposite Kefalos Bay.

CAMEL – SAND

Camel beach is very pretty with fine golden sand and interesting rock formations under the crystal clear water. It is less popular than some probably because of the steep access from the car park that does making it very popular with nudists.

BUBBLE/PARADISE - SAND

Bubble beach has warm water due to under sea volcanic vents which release bubbles hence the name. Sheltered by cliffs, with shallow water have made it very popular with young families, and even though it quite long it does get very crowded mostly by visitors staying in Kefalos. It’s a well catered beach there are an abundance of sun beds with brollies for rent, and many water sports.

Try snorkelling and look for the bubbles from the vents.

There a large variety of establishments in which to eat and drink.

Transport – excellent bus service, taxis or hire car, or cycle from Kefalos.

Distance from Kos Town – 33km

BANANA/LANGADES – SAND

Banana beach is on the southern coast of Kos and part of a chain of beaches, smaller and less popular then Paradise beach, though possibly to most visitors all the beaches along this stretch of coast might be viewed as one long stretch of sand. The area is backed by cliffs, and this part has small sand dunes and Juniper bushes.

SUNNY/PSILOS GREMOS – SAND

Sunny beach is 2km long and very thin there are a few tavernas and hotels, but it doesn’t get very crowded.

MAGIC/POLEMI – SAND –

Magic beach is situated on the south western coast and at approx 3km is the longest and broadest available. There sun beds and brollies for rent, swimming is good in the crystal clear waters.

There are a few tavernas, often serving the fresh fish that’s so readily available.

Transport – excellent bus service, taxis or hire car, or cycle from Kefalos.

Distance from Kos Town – 32km

From Kefalos – 8km

EXOTIC/XEROKAMBOS – SAND

Exotic beach is at the far western end, a beautiful sandy beach backed by army tanks and an artillery range. Does it get more exotic than this?
